luciazephyr: Book of the Still, the time traveler's lifeline (Default)
So I've been listening to the talented Mr. Bird's new album on NPR (yay for streaming) and... it's the strangest thing. He's making me want to dance. See, I love Andrew Bird to pieces. His is not dancey music.

"Fitz and Dizzyspells"? Makes me want to dance.

What a brave new world we live in. :shimmies:

Mr. Rick Warren, it's less than 43 times we've peacefully passed power. Washington didn't get it from anyone and think of all the re-elected folks.

:irked like a really irked thing at the Invocation:

Way to not be all "joy and hope" in your speech. Very real, very awesome. I think I'm gonna like you.

... I grew up with the Bush Presidency. It's weird to know that someone else is there, and that they might not disappoint me so.

Consider this a follow up to the last post.

You want to see the talented Mr. Bird at work? Watch this. He is one whistling violinist with a sound recorder and he single-handedly orchestrates a beautiful, complex song. I don't even know how you think that way, to know when to play what and how to meld it together.

I just... YOU KNOW WHAT? He is, to me, the Neil Gaiman of music. THAT'S WHAT IT IS. I just realized.

ETA: Note to self: ANDREW BIRD. ST. LOUIS. JUST OVER $20 DOLLARS.
